Kitchen Co-op
Kitchen Co-op is a meal-sharing community designed to introduce neighbors to each other as well as new plant-based recipes to encourage a societal shift towards plant-based nutrition.

Problem
For health and sustainability reasons, the Dutch government is encouraging a protein transition from animal to mostly plant-based nutrition. Some people are resistant to this cultural shift.

Insights
1. People prefer to spend less time in the kitchen than in the past
2. People are willing to be more adventurous in social contexts
3. Social circles influence diets

Solution
Kitchen Co-op: A community that connects people to their neighbors and plant-based recipes. Community members spend less time in the kitchen and more time socializing over delicious plant-based meals!

Results
Participants who took part in the testing (2 groups: 1 group eating together & 1 group taking the meal to go) said they...
"felt more connected to their neighbors"
"more likely to try a new plant-based recipe on their own (than before the testing)"
100% of experiment participants would use Kitchen Co-op again.

Role within team project?
I led my team in the preliminary and user research and designed the experiments to test our intervention. I also built the prototype for the app interface and pushed our project forward by leading discussions and delegating tasks to the other team members.
